A Boston based Financial Services company is seeking a skilled Senior Technical Consultant (J2EE) to lead their team of five. As part of the technical consulting team, the Lead Consultant will be responsible for implementing software for company clients (Banks, Financial Service companies, Insurance companies).
Must have technical skills:
•Extensive previous experience in consultancy and the installation of software applications
•Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in technical role – programming, technical/IT support, software installation
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•The ability to be independent, flexible and like to take initiative
•Extensive knowledge of SQL, SQL performance tuning, and databases such as Oracle or DB2
•Extensive knowledge of application servers such as Websphere or Weblogic
•Excellent knowledge of Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HPUX)
•Solid understanding of Java and J2EE architectures
• Solid knowledge of XML and real time messaging queues and systems
