Workbridge Los Angeles Volunteers at Their Local Regional Food Bank
This past Saturday a group from Workbridge Los Angeles took some time to volunteer at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
The food bank gathers and distributes food to people in need all over Los Angeles County. They distribute it directly through programs that people sign up for, charities, and other relief organizations where people can obtain food. Our group worked on an assembly line that packed food for senior citizens in need.
We met early at the food bank along with many other volunteers and were given different assignments along the assembly line. The LA food bank is always in need of volunteers and we were really excited to be a part of helping those in our community that need extra support. We all worked hard and had a great time!

It is a great organization that truly gives hope!
Showing off our work assignments. James on rice, Jaime on fruit(sad that he isn't in the peanut butter crew). And the peanut butter crew, Brittney, Elizabeth , Jen and Rachel. But, wait where is Rachel?
Here she is! She was off looking for breakfast and we caught her eating!
Ian and Rachel stacking the completed boxes
James excited to get to work on the rice crew!
After 3 hours of packing boxes we cleared the assembly line, left with a few sore muscles, and a great sense of satisfaction.
There are so many things you can do to get involved in your community! Reach out to organizations today and see how you can do your part in making a difference.
