A rapidly growing security software product company is looking to add a Senior Research Engineer to their team. The ideal candidate will be working on a small (2-5 person), highly focused team working to design and build prototypes for solving future problems concerning computer security and cyber warfare. They are looking for a creative problem-solver who can take an interesting research problem and then spend time creating an innovative prototype. In order to be considered a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or similar plus three or more years of software experience preferably in R&D lab is essential. Experience coding in C, C++, or Java is also highly desired though being an expert coder is not needed. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and an ability to work in a highly creative, fast-paced, and Agile environment. They are currently especially looking for people with a strong algorithm development background, especially compression algorithms.
Active Security Clearance (or inactive within 3 years) Required.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience preferably in a R&D lab
- Minimally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or similar
- Experience coding in C, C++, Java, or Python
- Prior role developing experimental prototypes
- U.S. citizen with active security clearance
- Algorithm or codec background highly preferred
